Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and JayList CampusAI (Accra, Ghana) about using CampusAI. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
CampusAI is for students and staff at universities and colleges. Give accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away at support@campusai.com.gh if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload and write. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it back to you (and, for community posts, to other students) so CampusAI can work. Only upload material you have the right to use, such as lecture materials from your own courses for your own study. Don’t upload other people’s personal information without their permission.
3. Academic integrity
Jay is a study partner. It explains your course materials and points to the page it used; it is not there to write your assignments. Follow your institution’s rules on using AI tools. Submitting Jay’s output as your own work where your institution forbids it is a breach of these terms.
4. AI answers can be wrong
Summaries, flashcards, quizzes, answers and exam predictions are generated automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important against your lecture materials and your lecturers. Nothing on CampusAI is professional advice.
5. Using CampusAI fairly
Don’t:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hateful or sexual content in the community;
- share exam questions you were told to keep confidential;
- copy, scrape or resell CampusAI or its content, or use it to build a competing service;
- try to get around plan limits, break our security, or overload the service.
6. Plans and payments
The Free plan includes summaries and flashcards, 1 upload a month and 10 question to Jays a month. The Scholar plan raises those allowances and adds lecture recordings, mock exams, the full past-question archive and career tools. Scholar costs GH₵25 for 1 month or GH₵56 for 4 months.
- Payments are processed by Paystack, by Mobile Money or card, in Ghana cedis.
- Scholar starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. Paying again before it ends adds the new period to the end.
- Paid by card, Scholar renews automatically. On the day it ends we charge your saved card for the option and price shown in Settings, unless you’ve turned renewal off. We remind you 3 days before.
- You can turn automatic renewal off, or remove your card, any time in Settings under Plan and billing. It applies from the next period: the time you’ve paid for stays active until it ends, and nothing more is charged.
- Paid with Mobile Money, Scholar doesn’t renew by itself. We remind you before it ends, and you renew by approving a new payment.
- Credit packs are one-off payments and never renew.
- If you were charged in error, or a fault on our side stopped you using Scholar, email us at support@campusai.com.gh within 14 days of the payment and we’ll refund it. Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with, and end the Scholar time or take back the credits that payment bought.
We may change prices or plan limits. Changes never affect a period you’ve already paid for, and we’ll announce them before they apply.
7. Changes and availability
We’re always improving CampusAI, so features may change. We aim to keep it running smoothly but can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using CampusAI at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it’s fair to, we’ll warn you first and explain why.
9. Our responsibility
As far as the law allows, CampusAI is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost marks or lost opportunities. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana deal with any dispute.
